Provider/Prescriber: This will be an M.D., or D.O., or a mid-level such as a P.A. or F.N.P. The prescribing provider will interface with the patients very little, but will medically qualify or disqualify the patients for a particular program based on a quick evaluation and review of blood work and EKG. Provider must be able to prescribe hCG and Adipex/phentermine to those who medically qualify. Provider must stay informed about be educated to the contraindications for these prescriptions.

Sales Consultant & Weight Loss Coach: This person does not have to hold a licensure, but they must maintain a self-presentation that is consistent with a weight loss clinic. This person must also have a charismatic personality, a deep understanding of all programs and products, and the ability to engage with the new patient and engender a trusting relationship. Not only will this person be presenting the programs and “closing the deal” at the consultations, but he/she will also be the main cheerleader, encourager, and accountability partner of each patient for the duration of their weight loss journey. Historically, this person is also designated as office manager and is entrusted with the oversight of the business (finances, operations, etc.) and is a direct manager over the Medical Assistant. As such, it is important that this person maintains regular communications with the Owner (presumably the Provider) for compliance, vision casting, and mobility.

Medical Assistant: This person will interface with the patients more often than the main Provider and will provide support to both the Provider and the Sales Consultant. It is important that this person also maintains a self-presentation that is consistent with a weight loss clinic. This person must be experienced and comfortable performing injections, blood draws, and EKGs. This person must also have personality type that allows them to interface with patients and perform follow-up appointments (check-ins, weight-ins, etc.) and also sale the patient on the “Monthly Specials”.
